Of Mirrors and Reflections is an Incursion for the Trophy Gold ttrpg.

Theme: Reflection

“Have I ever told you about the once free city of Gilead? Legend has it the city is found at the centre of a lake in the deepest, most dense, part of the Thicket. Tall spires, mirrored surfaces, silk and gold covering the citizens, it was supposed to be a sight to behold. The lake around it is said to be so still that one can see their own reflection in it as if staring into a mirror. People were free there, especially compared to our lives today. Music and plays on the streets all day and all night. Artists would travel there to present their creations as a rite of passage. From the shores of the lake, one could see the play of light on the sides of the spires and hear the faint echoes of music. But this city of mirrors and glass grew rich and fascinated with its own reflection. The people grew vain and absorbed with their own beauty. Not everyone was welcome anymore. What was once a haven of artistry and expression became a bastion of the elite. No one is sure what happened then, some say people revolted, some say the rich tore each other down. But Gilead fell. Many tried to find it since, attempting to recover the lost riches of this once beautiful city. Only one is said to have returned and they never were the same again.“
